“She who dares, GINS!”

It all began with a little idea centred around our big love for gin. We, Owen and Katy, bought our beloved box back in the Autumn of 2018 and had no idea what awaited us…

Driving home from Pontypridd in the pitch black, we arrived home only to find a wheel missing! Seeing the trailer for the first time in broad daylight the next day was a sobering feeling. Still not fully cleaned out from the last time a horse had been in it, this was the point we wondered what on earth we had gotten ourselves into.

Many hours of labour, driven by our talented father / in law Stuart, saw us through to where we are today. A complete rehaul of our vintage Beaufort horse box, fabricating and welding, sanding, drilling, gluing, painting, you name it we did it to get this stallion where it is today – And a special thank you to our mother / in law Petra for all the home cooked meals that kept us going!

Securing events and gigs was our next big challenge and after that the realisation that we would be serving customers. Although we’ve worked in bars part time previously, we’d never done anything at this scale before, but we have enjoyed every minute of it. We’ve met so many kind and helpful people along the way. Thank you to everyone that believed in us. We are proud to say it is only successful events we have under our belt and many more to follow.

“Life is too short for bad coffee!”

Whist Y Bocs Jin was making their way through festivals and events, at home, project two was underway; Y Bocs Coffi.
I (Thomas) decided to follow in my sisters’ footsteps by getting my passion for Coffee on the move. Similar to the Gin trailer, this project was a testing yet rewarding one with so many exciting opportunities to pick the colour scheme, materials and interior. Then came the selecting of our unique coffee blend, the most important part.

Being a professional sportsman, coffee is a big part of my daily routine. Having tried and tested many brands, I wanted to create my own unique blend that I could share with my teammates and the wider community. Selling my own blend of coffee in my own coffee trailer is a proud achievement of mine that I love doing.

“Fast forward to today…”

Many small businesses have been hit by the Pandemic, and unfortunately for us, we have been no different. Retreating our cherished trailers from all the exciting plans we had for 2020 we were left wondering when we’d be able to get out on the road again, doing what we do best.
Enter plan B – If our customers can’t come to us, we would have to go to them!
We have made the bold move of adapting to the current climate and although we cannot be out there making fabulous gin and coffee for all of our wonderful customers new and old, we have made the brave move of selling our own products we know you love, to enjoy in your own homes.
